What a start to the day!!
Sometimes, no, most of the time, I feel I am the favorite child of the universe.
The reason I have always had great people around me may be that I am also great, so I attract the same people.
I mean, I am great :).
I am queen of self-validation.
Hahaha.
Today our landlord visited us early in the morning to fix the door, which I broke.
First they fixed the door and then the bathroom.
Lucky us, thank you, God.
We call them "Mamma" and "Pappa."
Strange... right?
But that’s why I said I am always surrounded by great people.
While coming back from India, I got a sari for her. Pink-colored sari. because my mama is very pretty lady,
For me, it was just a very minimal effort to get that sari.
But she started crying…
She said she was not ready for this gift.
Sometimes we don’t have to go overboard; very small gestures also make someone's day.
And it made my day too.
Also, women are so complicated;
They cry in happy moments, and they cry in sad moments too.
I obviously made tea for her.
She loves my tea…
Every time she has a sip, she wants to make me her daughter-in-law.
I know... I am great. 😌
But today it went one step next level. She is going to bring her son next time to visit home.
He has a girlfriend.
But the moms...
They always want the best for their sons — and the best for themselves :)
Which made me think...
Why is it so difficult to like and love someone?
Sometimes everything is perfect — the family, the background —
And the only thing that is not aligned is your heart.
I had these situations a couple of times in my life.
The person is good, the family is good, they want me in their life, and they take all the effort.
But my heart was not aligned.
Why is this heart complicated?
Why does it not agree to the situation where everything falls into place?
What is it looking for?
Why is it not mutual?
Why is it so rare to love someone who loves you back?
How lucky these people are...
But I have started looking at love differently.
For me, love is not the one that happens at first sight
because I feel it’s infatuation.
Love takes time;
Love happens slowly, not overnight, and love happens twice.
When you initially meet them, you like people for certain aspects.
And then, twice,
when you know the dark side — the habits that you don't like —
and still, you choose to be with them
with the same respect and same affection that you had initially...
I guess then you can say it's love….
where you just don’t want to have them in your life. But you cherish them and want them to be happy and at peace.
I am happy and grateful that I am in love.
